About Us

Hi there, welcome to Bear’s Groove, a site dedicated to exploring the unusually interesting during our year-long (maybe two…) journey across North America.  Hopefully you’ll find it amusing. Featured is Chloe Bear (“The Bear”), an 8-year-old Old English Sheepdog, who is always in-the-groove.  In case you’re wondering, the inspiration for the name is a play on the timeless jazz composition: Bags’ Groove (check out the version by David Grisman and David Garcia).  The Bear is accompanied by her adoptive parents: Mama and Papa Bear (who after long careers in national security, still avoid social media like the plague).  Our vehicle for this journey – a brand new 2016 Unity Leisure Van, featuring a Mercedes Benz 3500 Sprinter chassis with 3L V6 Bluetec Diesel engine.  Her name: MaBel.  Enjoy the posts!
